We are happy to welcome you to the 13th Scandinavian Symposium on Chemometrics (SSC13) in beautiful Stockholm archipelago (Djurönäset), Sweden, 17-20 June 2013.
The SSC conference series is the ultimate meeting place for chemometricians to be meet, network and be inspired by the best in the field of chemometrics. The organisation and scientific committees, we have decided this time to focus on the core of Chemometrics, including methods and theory. Download a Flyer for SSC13.
The scientific program consists of five integrated segments.
1.) Gordon conference style sessions where discussions are led by experienced moderator
2.) Oral presentations
3.) Extended poster session
4.) Vendor exhibitions and technical demos
5.) Workshop / tutorial sessions in smaller groups led by leading experts
We have consciously reduced the time for oral presentation to a maximum of 20 minutes to maximize discussion and interaction. We will also have a session dedicated to Prof. Bruce Kowalski and his legacy that you don’t want to miss.

Background
Chemometrics is the science of extracting information from complex data systems. The key to success in chemometric multivariate modeling is hence high quality data management. Identifying features and patterns in the data that leads to information, which becomes knowledge when the patterns and their implications is realized and understood.
The SSC conferences are biannual and rotate amongst the Nordic countries. The first Scandinavian Symposium on Chemometrics was held in 1989 in Lappeenranta, Finland. The 13:th meeting is now organized by the Chemometrics division within the Swedish Chemical Society. We warmly invite you to the archipelago in Stockholm at the beautiful early summer season, and hope that you will have a scientifically rewarding and enjoyable stay.
